Denver Volleyball Set for Trip to North Dakota

The Pioneers will play North Dakota State on Thursday and UND on Saturday Morning
DENVERÂ - The University of Denver women's volleyball team will travel to North Dakota for a pair of matches against North Dakota State and North Dakota this weekend.Â
SERIES HISTORY VS NDSUÂ
The Pioneers own an 18-6 record against the Bison. Denver won the most recent matchup in Hamilton Gymnasium, 3-0, on Sept. 23, 2023.Â
SERIES HISTORY VS UND
Denver owns an undefeated, 11-0, record against North Dakota. In their most recent victory, the Pioneers defeated the Fighting Hawks, 3-2 in Grand Forks.
THE PENDERGAST ERA
In her first season at the helm, Pendergast led the Pioneers to a 12-4 record in conference play, earning a share of the Summit League regular season title, the first since 2020. DU was a perfect 9-0 in Hamilton Gymnasium, Denver's first perfect record at home since the 2015 season (18-0). Five Pios earned All-Summit League honors including first team selection Cassie Davis

• Cassie Davis recorded 29 kills against Kansas City on 11/4/23, good for the second most kills by a single player in Denver's DI history.
• Nationally, Denver ranked 25th with 1.85 aces per set and 48th in blocks per set (2.44).
• Molly Mirabelli ranked fourth in the Summit League in hitting percentage (.339) and blocks per set (1.14).
• Denver recorded an undefeated record in Hamilton Gymnasium (9-0) for the first time since 2015 when the Pioneers went a perfect 18-0 season.
• The Pios owned a 12-4 record in Summit League play last season for their 10th straight year with at least 12 league victories.
• Denver's 14-12 record last year mark the program's 13th-straight winning season
PRESEASON POLL AND WATCH LIST
Denver was picked second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, earning 51 points. Fifth year middle blocker Molly Mirabelli and outside hitter Cassie Davis were tabbed as "Players to Watch" by the conference.
