DENVER – The University of Denver hockey team remained ranked at No. 1 in the nation after the latest USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls that were released on Monday.
 
Denver improved to 4-0 on the season after sweeping its homecoming weekend games against then-No. 19 Northeastern, winning by scores of 5-2 on both Friday and Saturday.
 
The Pioneers are the near-unanimous in both polls, including picking up 48-of-50 first-place votes and 998-of-1000 points overall in the USCHO.com ranking. No. 5 Minnesota and No. 8 Cornell also picked up top-vote tallies in the poll. DU garnered 33-of-34 first-place votes in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live rankings, with No. 8 Cornell earning the other top vote.
 
Boston College ranks behind Denver at No. 2, while Boston University is at No. 3 and Michigan State is at No. 4. Minnesota moved into the top five in each poll after North Dakota dropped to No. 7 in both rankings.
 
The NCHC is tied with the Big Ten for the most teams ranked with six each, and those two conferences are joined by Hockey East with three members in the top 10. Colorado College moved into the top 10 at No. 9/9 and was followed in the polls by St. Cloud State at No. 12/14, Western Michigan at No. 14/13 and Omaha at No. 16/19.
 
Arizona State received votes in each poll, while Minnesota Duluth picked up points in the USCHO.com ranking.
 
The No. 1 Pioneers face No. 20/RV Wisconsin this week at home after the Badgers dropped both games to Ohio State, which entered the polls at No. 19/17. Friday's game at Magness Arena begins at 7 p.m. MT and Saturday's start time is at 6 p.m. MT.
