DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball program has signed Hailey Goebel, Elise Hart and Quinlan Jones to join the program beginning in 2025, coach Megan Pendergast announced on Wednesday.
Hailey Goebel – Franklin, Wisconsin – Outside Hitter – 6'0
"Hailey Goebel brings invaluable experience from one of the best club programs, and we couldn't be more excited to add her to our roster," Pendergast said. "Hailey's athleticism is impressive, but it's her character that truly stands out. She embodies resilience, hard work, and a contagious work ethic that will elevate our team. We're thrilled to welcome such a talented and driven individual to our roster!"
BEFORE DENVER:
Two-time all-conference selection … 2024 Metro Classic Player of the Year … First team AVCA Best and Brightest Award … Wisconsin All-State Honorable Mention … Led her club team to a Triple Crown Invitational victory in 2024 … Helped her team to back-to-back top 20 national finishes in her 16s and 17s season … Recorded over 1000 kills during her high school career and amounted a .274 hitting percentage
PERSONAL:
Played club for Milwaukee Sting … Enjoys hiking, biking and baking … Chose Denver because of the relationship with the coaches and team, academic rigor and opportunity to play high-level volleyball
Elise Hart – Louisville, Kentucky – Middle Hitter – 6'1
"Elise Hart holds a special place in my journey here at Denver, as she was the first underclassman to commit to our program since I became head coach," Pendergast said. "Not only was she the first, but she's also one of the most impressive young women I've had the privilege to recruit. Elise's dedication shines both on the court and in the classroom—she's fiercely competitive, deeply passionate, and brings invaluable experience from one of the country's most successful clubs. I have no doubt that Elise will make an immediate impact in our gym, and I'm thrilled to welcome her to the program."
BEFORE DENVER:
Four-year varsity starter … helped her team to a state semifinal finish in 2021 … Earned a place on the Kentucky Region 7 All Tournament team for three straight seasons … 2023 AAU National Champion … A 2023 AAU All-American and All-Tournament Team member
PERSONAL:
Her mother played volleyball at the university of Pittsburgh and her father was a swimmer at Lamar University… Played club for Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Association … Enjoys playing golf, swimming, painting and hiking … chose Denver because of the academic reputation and reputation of the program.
Quinlan Jones – Santa Clara, California – Outside Hitter – 6'0
"Quinlan Jones is a dynamic athlete with incredible physicality and a vibrant personality that lights up the court," Pendergast said. "She's continued to improve at an impressive rate, driven by her passion and love for volleyball. We're beyond excited to get her in our gym, where her growth and energy will elevate not only her own game but also our entire team."
BEFORE DENVER:
Broke the single-season kill record (410) at her high school in 2024 … Earned a top-50 finish in total kills in California … Lead her league, division and section in kills … 2024 high school team captain
PERSONAL:
Played for Mountain View Volleyball Club … enjoys hiking, skiing, going to concerts and trying new food … chose Denver because of the location, campus and people.
