DENVER - The University of Denver volleyball team is set for a match against the North Dakota State Bison in the quarterfinal round of the Summit League Volleyball tournament of Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri.
SERIES HISTORY AGAINST NDSU
This marks the 27th all-time meeting between the Pioneers and the Bison. Denver won the most recent matchup, 3-0, in Hamilton Gymnasium on November 2. The Pioneers own a 19-7 all-time record against NDSU.
THE PENDERGAST ERA
In her first season at the helm, Pendergast led the Pioneers to a 12-4 record in conference play, earning a share of the Summit League regular season title, the first since 2020. DU was a perfect 9-0 in Hamilton Gymnasium, Denver's first perfect record at home since the 2015 season (18-0). Five Pios earned All-Summit League honors including first team selectionÂ

Cassie Davis recorded 27 kills and a .478 hitting percentage against North Dakota to earn Summit League Peak Offensive Performer of the Week (10/7).

Molly Mirabelli ranks third in the Summit League in blocks per set (1.28) and sixth in hitting percentage (.289).
• DU's 13-7, five set comeback over St. Thomas is tied for the largest fifth set comeback since 2000.
• Denver recorded an undefeated record in Hamilton Gymnasium (9-0) in 2023 for the first time since 2015 when the Pioneers went a perfect 18-0 season.
• The Pios owned a 12-4 record in Summit League play last season for their 10th straight year with at least 12 league victories.
• Denver's 14-12 record last year mark the program's 13th-straight winning season
