SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - University of Denver senior men's swimmer
Connor Hughes has been named the Summit League Men's Swimming Peak Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday. The honor is the first of Hughes career.
Hughes led a group of five Pioneer distance swimmers in the 2024 CSCAA Open Water 5K Championship last weekend, finishing fourth in a 61-swimmer Division I field. As a men's team, the Pioneers finished second in an 11-team field, including finishing ahead of a pair of Power-4 programs.

The Pioneers will resume their schedule on Friday, January 3, in a dual with the Colorado School of Mines. That meet will serve as the Pioneers Senior Day. Diving will begin at 12 p.m., senior recognition at 2:40 p.m. and swimming at 3 p.m. MT.
