DENVER - The Pioneers held Ohio State scoreless for 36 minutes to defeat the Buckeyes, 15-5 at Peter Barton Stadium of Friday afternoon.

Julia Gilbert started the scoring early off a free position goal at 13:08 that the Buckeyes answered 13 seconds later to tie it 1-1. Gilbert was unable to convert off of her next two free position opportunities, building the longest scoring-draught of the game until senior
Sloane Kipp converted at 5:53 remaining in the first.Â
Gilbert recorded four goals in the contest and added four ground balls, while freshman
Olivia Ripple recorded the first hat trick of her career, with two man-down goals, and added a pair of helpers.
Olivia Penoyer continues to make an impact for the crimson and gold with three assists and two goals, including the final goal of the match to run the last 15 seconds off the clock. Denver goalkeeper
Emelia Bohi made five saves while Ohio State's netminder Regan Alexander finished with 16 saves.
The Pioneers led 8-1 at halftime and held the Buckeyes scoreless for half the third frame before Leah Sax snuck a goal past Bohi.Â

Anna Palmisano had five caused turnovers and
Trinity McPherson had six draw controls while
