No. 43 DU Men’s Tennis Welcomes No. 62 Oregon, North Dakota

Denver to host non-conference finale, Summit League opener on Friday, Sunday

DENVER – The No. 43-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team (15-0, 0-0 Summit) will host two matches in three days when it welcomes No. 62 Oregon and North Dakota to Denver Tennis Park on March 29-31.

DU begins the weekend with a showdown of two nationally-ranked teams when it hosts Oregon on Friday, March 29, at 1:30 p.m. to finish its 2024 non-conference slate before opening Summit League play against North Dakota on Sunday, March 31, at 10:30 a.m. MT.

Last Time Out:
Denver resumed play after an unexpected bye week, returning to Denver Tennis Park on March 26 in a 6-1 win over Nevada. The Pioneers won the doubles point for the eighth match in a row before taking a 5-0 lead overall. The final two singles matches were decided with 10-point tiebreaks where the teams split the results.

The win extended Denver's unbeaten start to the 2024 season to 15-0, the best start in the program's Division I history by six matches.

Series History:
Oregon: This will be the seventh meeting between Denver and Oregon with each team owning three wins in the previous six matches. The Ducks have won the last two meetings, most recently 5-2 at home on March 3, 2022, after earning a narrow 4-3 win in 2016 at a neutral site. The teams have only played in Denver once previously and not since February 6, 2011, in the first of consecutive 5-2 wins for DU.

North Dakota: DU is 5-0 against UND with all matches coming in the last five years. They last played in DU's regular-season finale on April 16, 2023, at North Dakota where DU won, 5-2. The two meetings before that were both held in Denver, most recently a 6-1 DU victory on March 27, 2022.

Up Next:
