OMAHA, Neb. – The No. 40-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team (19-0, 3-0 Summit) added its second win of the weekend, claiming a 6-1 win at Omaha on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, Denver remains undefeated at 19-0 entering the final week of the regular season.

Doubles:
The DU doubles squad won the point for the 12
th-straight match with the decision coming down to the No. 1 court. Before that, Denver's No. 3 team of graduate student
Anish Sriniketh and sophomore
Raffaello Papajcik took what would be the easiest decision of the day at 6-2 after winning the final four games.

Omaha stayed alive with a tight 7-5 win in No. 2 doubles to leave the top court to decide the point. DU senior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta and junior
Rikuto Yamaguchi held a break lead early but ended up on even terms at 3-3. The match remained on serve until they broke in the final game for 7-5.

Singles:
Sriniketh gave Denver a 2-0 lead with just four games lost in his match at No. 6 singles – just one more than he lost against Drake on Friday. His opponent won the opening game on serve before the DU graduate student won six in a row to take the first set, 6-1. Both players held serve until what would be the penultimate game where Sriniketh broke for 5-3 and served it out in the following game.

Graduate student
Marvin Schaber put DU within a point of the win with another straight-sets victory. The first set remained on serve until he finally broke through with the only break of the set in the 12
th game. The second set followed a near identical pattern but with the DU grad student getting the only break in the 10
th and final game.

Minutes later, Papajcik clinched victory for Denver with matching 6-2 sets at No. 5 singles. Both sets followed matching patterns game-for-game with Papajcik breaking for 3-0 leads and adding a second break in the eighth and final games.

Omaha got on the board with a win at No. 4 singles moments afterward before Denver junior
Daniel Sancho Arbizu gave DU another point for 5-1 in No. 2 singles. He rallied back from a break down twice in the first set, forcing and winning a tiebreak, then carrying that momentum into the second set where he won the first five games and eventually took it, 6-1.

The final match to conclude was a battle in the No. 1 slot. Herrero Cuesta held a break lead early in the first set but was broken when serving for it at 5-4 but was able to still take the set in a tiebreak. He took a two break lead early in the second set and though he gave one back, he maintained a one-break lead before breaking again in the final game.
