EAST LANCING, Mich. – The University of Denver women's golf program shot its best round of the week, an even-par 288, to take sixth place in the 2024 East Lancing Regional at Forest Akers West Golf Course.
Denver finished just four strokes back from qualifying for its fourth trip to the NCAA Championships in its program history.
The Pioneers had three golfers finish in the top-20, led by a seventh-place finish from graduate student
Anna Zanusso, who shot her second round at two-under in the tournament and finished at -4. Zanusso finished second among individuals not on qualifying teams, one spot and eight strokes off qualifying for the 2024 NCAA Championships in California.
Junior
Clara Gestsdottir finished in red figures with her one-under 71, ultimately taking 12
th in the tournament. Graduate student
Anna Krekling fired a three-over 219 for the week to finish in a tie for 20
th.
