DENVER - The University of Denver volleyball program opens its 2024 campaign with a trip to Ogden, Utah for Weber State's Wildcat Invitational. This weekends's event will begin with a doubleheader on Friday.

DENVER'S SCHEDULE AT WSU
Friday - vs. Utah Tech - 10:00 a.m. MT
Friday - vs. Weber State - 7:30 p.m. MT - ESPN+
Saturday - vs Utah Tech - 12:30 p.m. MT

SERIES HISTORY VS. UTAH TECH
Friday marks the first time the two teams have ever met.

SERIES HISTORY VS WEBER STATE
Denver is 1-0 in its Division I history against Weber State. The programs last met in Hamilton Gymnasium on Sept. 8, 2000, the Pioneers defeated the Wildcats, 3-1. 

THE PENDERGAST ERA
In her first season at the helm, Pendergast led the Pioneers to a 12-4 record in conference play, earning a share of the Summit League regular season title, the first since 2020. DU was a perfect 9-0 in Hamilton Gymnasium, Denver's first perfect record at home since the 2015 season (18-0). Five Pios earned All-Summit League honors including first team selection Cassie Davis

PRESEASON POLL AND WATCH LIST
Denver was picked second in the Summit League Preseason Poll, earning 51 points. Fifth year middle blocker Molly Mirabelli and outside hitter Cassie Davis were tabbed as "Players to Watch" by the conference.
