DENVER – A pair of former University of Denver men's lacrosse players earned major awards at the 2024 PLL End of Season Banquet last Friday night.
Trevor Baptiste was named the Paul Cantabene Face-Off Player of the Year, while former Pio teammate and current Atlas (PLL) and Seals (NLL) teammate
Danny Logan was named the George Boiardi
Hard Hat Award winner given to the SSDM of the Year.
Baptiste was named the faceoff specialist of the year for the fifth time in six seasons. The 2015 NCAA National Champion finished 174-263 (66%) from the faceoff stripe this season, picking up 109ground balls and finishing with five goals and an assist during the regular season. Baptiste added three more points (1 2Pt Goal) in the postseason.
Logan earned the SSDM of the Year award for the third time in his four seasons in the league. The Ohio native played in 10 games of lock-down defense in the PLL this season to once again earn the prestigious honor.
