DENVER – The University of Denver men's soccer program remains the number one team in the country in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings, the publication released on Monday.
Denver has opened the season on a nine-match unbeaten run, sitting at 5-0-4 heading into a 10-day layoff before the start of Summit League play on October 2.
Prior to the last two weeks, Denver has been the top team in the rankings in the Top Drawer Soccer poll one other time, on October 8, 2018. The Pioneers have never been atop the primary United Soccer Coaches poll, which will be released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Pioneers are coming off a 2-1 win over Seattle on Sunday night. Sam Bassett netted the game-winner in the second half to lift the Pios to their 100th win at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium (opened in 2009).

UP NEXT: The Pioneers will have the week off before taking on Oral Roberts to open Summit League play on Wednesday, October 2. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT, and the match will be broadcast live on the Summit League Network.
