DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team heads to Columbus, Ohio, for the 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosted by Ohio State, on January 25-26.
Denver is the region's No. 3 seed and will first play against No. 2 seed Princeton – which received votes in the most recent ITA national rankings – on Saturday, January 25, at 1 p.m. ET/11 a.m. MT. On Sunday, January 26, DU will then play either No. 1 seed and No. 3-ranked Ohio State or Louisville at a time to be determined following Saturday's matches.
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver posted a perfect 3-0 record in its trio of home matches to start the 2025 season, posting a 5-2 win against UC Davis, adding a 6-1 win against Air Force and then capping opening weekend with a 7-0 sweep of Montana State.
Four Pioneers went undefeated in singles during the long weekend including senior and No. 24-ranked
Daniel Sancho Arbizu, who was named the first KwikStar Summit League Peak Performer of the Week after also going 3-0 in doubles for a perfect 6-0 overall performance on the weekend. Fellow senior
Rikuto Yamaguchi also went 3-0 in singles, as did two Denver newcomers: freshman
Samuel Rovai and graduate student
Connor Robb-Wilcox.

Louisville: If Denver and Louisville play on Sunday, it will be the first meeting between the two teams.
