DENVER -- The University of Denver women's basketball team looks to extend its three-game winning streak on Saturday afternoon when the Pioneers travel to the University of Texas, El Paso.
The Pioneers are 1-3 all-time against the Miners but fell in their most recent meeting, 49-80, on Nov. 26, 2011 in El Paso.
PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
•The Pioneers defeated the Regis Rangers, 67-40 on Nov. 21 in Hamilton Gymnasium.
•Denver travels to Texas to take on the University of Texas, El Paso on Saturday afternoon.
•DU will play the first of the two-game Big Sky Summit League challenge against Eastern Washington on Dec. 3 in Washington and Idaho at home on Dec. 6.
UNIVERSITY OF DENVER ACCEPTS WCC INVITE FOR 2026-27
•On October 31, the University of Denver announced it has accepted an invitation to join the West Coast Conference in nine sports, beginning in the 2026-27 season.
•Denver will join the West Coast Conference in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and women's volleyball.
•The move provides Denver with a significant enhancement to the overall reputation of the university and brand association, allying DU with highly regarded, mostly private institutions with stronger academic ranking and profiles that will further strengthen the university's position in the western United States.

•Sophomore Guard
Coryn Watts tied her career-high 23 points in Sunday's win over California State Fullerton
•The Colorado native leads the team and the league with 34.4 minutes and 118 points through the first six contests.
•Watts ranks 24th in the nation in total points, 31st in field goals and 29th with 19.7 points per game.
PROTECTING THE PAINT
•Denver ranks second in the Summit League in scoring defense allowing just 57.2 points per game and three-point percentage defense.
•The Pioneers average 25.7 defensive boards per game.
•
Laia Monclova leads the conference with 16 steals, good for 66th in the nation.
