DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team will close a four-match road trip with two matches in Wichita, Kansas, on February 15-16.
DU will first play a neutral-site match against Boise State on Saturday, February 15, before playing at Wichita State on Sunday, February 16. Both matches are slated for 11 a.m. CT/10 a.m. MT starts.
LAST TIME OUT:
A shorthanded Denver squad played two matches in the state of Oregon on February 7-8, first falling to host Oregon, 0-7, before taking on UTSA in a neutral match and coming up short, 1-6
DU shuffled its doubles pairings during the weekend while also bringing junior
Ryoma Mishiro back into the singles lineup on both days, who came away with a three-set victory in the No. 5 slot against UTSA.
SERIES HISTORY:
Boise State: Denver sits at 4-6 against Boise State in its Division I history but owns wins in the last two matches including a 5-2 victory at home on February 16, 2024. DU also claimed the win the last time the teams played a neutral site, sweeping the Broncos, 4-0, in Los Angeles on March 4, 2023.
Wichita State: Denver has a 5-9 record against Wichita State but won the teams' most recent meeting on March 3, 2024, in a 4-0 sweep at home. The last time DU and WSU played in Wichita was February 12, 2023, in a narrow 4-3 win for the Shockers. The teams have traded off hosting each other in nearly every year since 2013.
