Denver Gymnastics Holds Steady at No. 18 Nationally

DU again improves overall NQS, moves up in bars, floor rankings

DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team maintained its national ranking to No. 18 in the Week 10 Road to Nationals rankings, which were released on Monday.

This is the fourth week that national rankings are determined by National Qualifying Score (NQS), which is calculated using the six highest scores of the season, at least three of which must be from away meets. The highest of the six scores is dropped, and the remaining five scores are averaged.

For the second week in a row, Denver increased its overall team NQS after its 196.700 against Arizona State in DU's final home meet of the season. The team's score in Sunday's home finale ranked as its second highest at home in 2025.

DENVER'S NQS
197.525 – Away
197.125 – Home
196.750 – Away
196.700 – Home
196.625 – Home
196.325 – Away
NQS: 196.705

Once again, No. 18 Denver finds itself with a notable lead in NQS over No. 19-ranked NC State.

TEAM NATIONAL RANKINGS
Overall: No. 18 (196.705)
Vault: No. 14 (49.195)
Bars: No. 7 (49.390)
Beam: No. 20 (49.150)
Floor: No. 23 (49.195)

For the second week in a row, Denver owns top-25 national rankings on all four events. DU improved its ranking on both bars and floor after increasing its NQSs on the events by .035 and .020, respectively. Denver scored a 49.400 on both events against ASU with the mark becoming a new season high by more than a tenth on floor.

Denver's new bars NQS also moved up in the program record books, now sitting as the No. 6 highest NQS in DU history.

INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL RANKINGS
Sophomore Madison Ulrich
All-Around: No. 24 (39.410 NQS)

Ulrich continues to hold a national ranking in the all-around after winning the title for the second week in a row and with her second highest score of the season (39.475) against Arizona State.

While no DU gymnasts are ranked in the top 25 on the individual events this week, graduate student Rylie Mundell again moved closer on bars and is outside the national rankings by the smallest possible margin of .005 this week.

No. 18 Denver closes the 2025 regular season with a trip to No. 13 Stanford on Friday, March 14.
