DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team returns to Denver Tennis Park for the first two of three consecutive home matches, hosting Omaha on Friday, April 4, at 12 p.m. MT and then welcoming New Mexico on Sunday, April 6, at 12 p.m. MT.
The match against Omaha is Denver's third Summit League match of the year but its first at home while the New Mexico match will be DU's final against a non-conference opponent for the season.
Admission is free for all University of Denver tennis home matches at Denver Tennis Park.
LAST TIME OUT:
Denver won its second and third straight matches by a final score of 6-1 when it opened Summit League play at Illinois State on March 28 and at Oral Roberts on March 30. DU's only point dropped against the Redbirds was in a 10-point match tiebreak, and the Pioneers dropped a hard-fought battle for the doubles point at ORU before sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets.
Among the DU players to win both of his singles matches was junior
Raffaello Papajcik, who won both in two sets including posting a bagel against Oral Roberts, his first such set of the year, and helping him to earn Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors for the second time in 2025.
SERIES HISTORY:
Omaha: Denver is 14-0 against Omaha with all matches coming as fellow Summit League opponents. Their 2024 regular-season meeting came on April 7 in Omaha with Denver tallying a 6-1 win. UNO's last trip to Denver was the first of two meetings in 2023, a 5-2 DU win on April 14. DU and UNO met just a week later in the Summit League semifinals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Denver advanced to the championship match with a 4-3 win.
New Mexico: DU holds a 10-7 record against New Mexico and has won the last four matches including a 4-3 victory at UNM on March 10, 2024. All five of their last five meetings have been close battles including New Mexico's most recent trip to DU on March 25, 2023, which ended with a 4-2 Denver win.

The University of Denver men's tennis team ends the regular season with a split weekend at home and on the road. DU will host its final home match of the regular season on Friday, April 11, against Drake before traveling to North Dakota on Sunday, April 13.
2025 SUMMIT LEAGUE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
The University of Denver will host the 2025 Summit League Tennis Championships on April 18-19 at Denver Tennis Park. Additional information regarding the tournament will be released in the coming weeks.
