DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team will end its regular season with two final matches, one at Denver Tennis Park and then one more on the road, on April 11-13.
DU will host its regular-season home finale on Friday, April 11, against Drake at 12 p.m. MT before traveling to North Dakota on Sunday, April 13, at 10:15 a.m. CT/9:15 a.m. MT.
Denver will look to secure the Summit League regular-season title for the sixth year in a row and can do so with wins in both matches.
Admission is free for all University of Denver tennis home matches at Denver Tennis Park.
LAST TIME OUT:
DU captured two wins at home in the penultimate week of the regular season, starting with a 6-1 victory against Omaha on April 4 to move to 4-0 in Summit League play on the season. The Pioneers then backed it up with a come-from-behind 4-3 win against then-No. 65 New Mexico on April 6, seeing junior
Ryoma Mishiro clinch the win in a third-set tiebreak after rallying back from a set down.
Combined with his straight-sets win against UNO, his former team, Mishiro was named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week.
SERIES HISTORY:
Drake: Denver holds a 15-10 record against Drake including wins in their last two meets, both coming during the 2024 season. The teams met in the 2024 Summit League final with the Pioneers posting a 4-0 sweep to win the title. In the 2024 regular season, they played to a 5-2 Denver win at Drake on April 5. The Bulldogs' last trip to Denver was April 2, 2023, in a tight 4-3 DU win.
North Dakota: DU is 7-0 against North Dakota and also played against UND twice in 2024, most recently in the Summit League semifinal where Denver won, 4-1. The teams' 2024 regular-season meeting ended in a 7-0 win for DU at home on March 31. Denver last made the trip to North Dakota on April 16, 2023, and came away with a 5-2 win to clinch the Summit League regular-season title.
