Gestsdottir, Richards Earn Summit League Honors

DENVER – Denver senior Clara Gestsdottir earned 2025 Summit League Golfer of the Year honors while head coach Martha Richards was named Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive year.

Gestsdottir was the lone golfer to finish under par at the Summit League Tournament at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona to win the individual title for the second-straight year and earned Summit League Tournament MVP and All-League First Team honors. She ranked second in the league with a 72.3 scoring average and earned four top-10 finishes this season.

Richards is now 4-for-4 in earning Coach of the Year honors since taking over the Denver program. The Pioneers have won four-straight Summit League championships under her leadership. Denver earned six top-5 finishes this season, including a runner-up finish at the Purdue Boilermaker classic and first place finish at the Summit League tournament.

Summit League individual awards are voted on by the league's nine head coaches.
