DENVER – The University of Denver men's lacrosse program has 15 former players on initial Premier Lacrosse League rosters ahead of this weekend's season openers on the ESPN networks.
 
The Pios are tied with Notre Dame for the second-most with 15. Maryland leads the country with 22, and Duke (13) and Virginia (13) round out the top five.

Week one of the 2025 PLL season takes place this weekend in Albany, kicking off with a double header on Friday night on ESPN+.

Friday – May 30
Carolina (Morrill, Sillstrop) vs. New York (Baptiste, Logan) – 4 p.m. MT – ESPN+
California (Berg, Ierlan) vs. Denver (Law) – 6:30 p.m. MT – ESPN+
Saturday – May 31
Maryland (Squires) vs. Utah (Connell) – 11 a.m. MT – ABC/ESPN+
Boston (Kelly) vs. New York (Baptiste, Logan) – 5 p.m. MT – ESPN+
 
The PLL returns to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in August for four games in three sessions across the opening weekend of the month. On August 1, Carolina will play Denver in the 6 p.m. game before Philadelphia and Boston square off. In the first session on Saturday, August 2, at 11 a.m. MT, Maryland will host California. In the final session of the weekend, New York will host Denver at 6 p.m. MT. Tickets for the PLL's return to the Mile High City are on sale now, and can be purchased here.
