DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team has hired
Anish Sriniketh as an assistant coach, head coach
Drew Eberly announced on Tuesday.
Sriniketh was a member of the Denver roster for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, joining as a transfer from Texas A&M for his final years of eligibility. He was a member of the 2023-24 squad that went a perfect 23-0 through the regular season and the Summit League tournament, becoming the first NCAA Division I men's team to be undefeated entering the NCAA tournament since eventual national champion Virginia in 2013.
"Anish was a huge part of our success a couple years ago," Eberly said. "He's an incredible leader with a lot of experience. I think he's one of the young, bright tennis minds out there. He's going to relate well to our players, being a recent alumnus of the program, and he cares a lot about DU. I think our players are going to benefit a lot from his experience, knowledge and passion for the program."
During his two seasons at Denver, Sriniketh won 33 singles matches and added 24 doubles victories. He earned 2024 All-Summit League Team honors after going 5-0 in singles and 4-1 in doubles against league opponents that season. A two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, Sriniketh was known as a leader on and off the court, and was always one of the most vocal supporters of his teammates.
"I wanted this role because I played at DU and have tremendous respect for Coach Eberly and the program," Sriniketh said. "Coming back to my alma mater where I grew as both a player and a person is incredibly meaningful. I'm excited for the opportunity to help student-athletes develop, compete and succeed at the highest level, both on and off the court."
Sriniketh joins a Denver program that successfully defended its Summit League title in 2024-25 and advanced to the NCAA National Championships for the 10
th time in program history. The Pioneers finished ranked No. 50 nationally – their highest ranking of the year – following an 18-7 overall record and a perfect 5-0 in Summit League play.
The 2025-26 Pioneers kicked off their fall campaign at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains, hosted by the Air Force Academy, on September 26-28 and next head to the ITA Mountain Regional Championships, hosted by UNLV, on October 15-20.
