One of collegiate lacrosse's legendary coaches, the two-time National Coach of the Year captured his NCAA-record seventh National Championship in 2015 when he led the Pioneers to their first. On that Memorial Day, Tierney became the first coach to win national championships in charge of two different programs. In his 14 seasons at DU, Tierney amassed a 167-59 overall record and a 69-8 record in conference games. The Denver bench boss finished his collegiate coaching career at 439-152.
Tierney continues to reside in Denver, but is coaching in the pros in the summer now, completing his second season in charge of the Philadelphia Waterdogs.
Earlier this week, Denver announced its 2026 schedule, headlined by eight home games, starting with a date with Cleveland State on January 31. Opening faceoff is set for 12 p.m. MT.
Tickets for the 2026 season are on sale now, and can be
