DENVER – University of Denver men's tennis players
Raffaello Papajcik and
Aaron Beduhn combined to sweep the Kwik Star Summit League Players of the Week awards for the fourth week of the season, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.
Papajcik was named the Summit League Peak Performer of the Week while adding Doubles Peak Team of the Week honors with Beduhn.
Papajcik was a perfect 2-0 at No. 1 singles for Denver in its two dual wins last weekend, starting with a three-set battle to help DU defeat regional rival Utah on February 6. His win against Utah was Denver's first point of the night, starting DU's rally from a 0-2 deficit on its way to a 4-3 overall win. He then fought back from a set down do against Montana two days later to win the day's final match in DU's 6-1 win on February 8.
In doubles, the Denver senior teamed up with freshman Beduhn for a dominant 6-1 win against Montana in the No. 3 spot, setting DU up to eventually win the doubles point. The duo also led 4-3 against Utah when the match was abandoned.
These are the fourth and fifth Summit League weekly honors for Papajcik in his career: his fourth Peak Performer award and his first Doubles Peak Team nod. This is the first weekly Summit League award of Beduhn's career.
Beduhn/Papajcik are the third and fourth DU men's players to earn weekly Summit League recognition so far this year. Papajcik is the first singles player to do so, and the duo joins graduate student
Connor Robb-Wilcox and sophomore
Theo Coats as doubles team honorees. Denver now accounts for three combined weekly awards from the Summit League this season.
Denver hits the road for the first time in 2026, making the trip to Boise, Idaho, for a neutral-site match against Wichita State on Saturday, February 14, before playing against host Boise State on Sunday, February 15.
