Last Time Out:
DU began its 2026 dual season with two wins on opening weekend, starting with a notable 4-3 victory against Texas Tech at DTP on January 23. The dual was a back-and-forth affair with TTU leading after doubles but DU rallying back for a 2-1 advantage after wins from sophomore Theo Coats at No. 3 and senior Ryoma Mishiro at No. 4. The Red Raiders leveled things at 2-2 before Denver senior Raffaello Papajcik reclaimed the lead for DU in No. 2 singles, setting up graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox to clinch the dual at 4-2 with his win at the No. 5 spot.
Two days later, Denver posted its first sweep of the year in a 7-0 win against Montana State. After dropping just two combined games in the two clinching doubles wins, Denver earned straight-sets singles victories from Mishiro, Coats, Robb-Wilcox and sophomore Samuel Rovai. Three-set wins from freshman Aaron Beduhn and Papajcik sealed the sweep.
Series History:
Utah: Denver holds a 9-14 record against Utah, though the teams have split results over the last six duals – most ending 4-3 final scores over the last six seasons. The Utes earned a narrow 4-3 win at home when the teams last met in 2025. When Utah last made the trip to Denver, the Pioneers earned a rare sweep on February 2, 2024. The prior two meetings at DTP also went the distance with each team earning a 4-3 win (Utah on January 21, 2022; Denver on February 13, 2020).
Montana: Denver is 6-0 against Montana in dual matches including a 4-0 sweep in their most recent meeting, also at Denver Tennis Park on March 1, 2024. Prior to the 2024 meeting, the teams had not played in a dual since 2007.

The University of Denver men's tennis team hits the road for the first time in 2026, opening a four-match away trip in Boise, Idaho, to take on Wichita State on February 14 before meeting host Boise State on February 15.
