DENVER – University of Denver women's tennis player
Louise Wikander made her 2026 debut in the ITA Computerized Rankings, released by the ITA on Wednesday.
Wikander holds the No. 125 spot in the national singles rankings, the first released following the start of the dual match season in January.
The Denver senior owns a 3-0 record through DU's first three duals of 2026, all three coming in straight sets at the No. 1 spot. In four of the six singles sets that she has played, she has lost two or fewer games.
The two-time Summit League Peak Performer of the Week finished last weekend with a 6-2 6-4 win against Colorado's Aya El Sayed to begin DU's comeback win against its in-state rival.
Including the fall season, Wikander owns an 11-4 singles record in 2025-26. She qualified for the NCAA Division I Singles Championship as the ITA Mountain Regional champion and finished the fall campaign ranked No. 79 in singles.
This is the first time that Wikander has appeared in the ITA national singles rankings during the spring dual season.
The ITA Computerized Rankings feature the top 125 singles players and 90 doubles teams in the country at the NCAA Division I level. Women's singles and doubles rankings are released bi-weekly through March before becoming weekly releases in April.
Women's team rankings currently feature the top 25 per a vote by the ITA National Ranking Committee and were not released on Wednesday due to the upcoming ITA Division I Women's National Team Indoor Championships. The team rankings will resuming weekly releases on February 11.
The 2025-26 University of Denver women's tennis team continues its five-match home stand to begin the dual season when it hosts two more in-state opponents in Air Force and Colorado State on February 6-7.
