NEW YORK – University of Denver sophomore goalie
Grayson Manning has been named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. The award is Manning's fourth of the 2026 season and the fifth of his career.
In two games against top-8 teams last week, Manning combined for 27 saves against just 21 goals allowed. On Sunday at Duke, Manning made 14 stops against the Blue Devils 22 shots on goal for a .636 save percentage, his fifth game in the 60s or higher this season.
Denver moved up a spot to 13
th in both polls on Monday.
UP NEXT: Denver opens BIG EAST play on Saturday afternoon with a top-15 clash with [14/14] Georgetown at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Opening faceoff is set for 12 p.m. MT, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and 104.3 the Fan HD3.
