DENVER – University of Denver men's tennis players
Ryoma Mishiro and
Samuel Rovai were together named the Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Peak Team of the Week for the 11
th week of the season, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.
The DU senior and sophomore teamed up to win both of their doubles matches last week, starting with a 6-4 win at Cal Poly that clinched the doubles point for Denver. They then backed it up with a 6-2 win at Gonzaga as part of DU's 7-0 sweep, marking Mishiro/Rovai's second fewest games lost in a doubles match this dual season so far.
Mishiro/Rovai have now won three matches in a row, each at the No. 2 spot for DU.
This is the third weekly Summit League award of Mishiro's career and his second as part of a Doubles Peak Team of the Week – also with Rovai on February 17 of this season. Rovai now owns four weekly Summit League honors, and this is also his second Doubles Peak Team nod.
Denver men's players have now accounted for 10 combined weekly Summit League awards this year. All six Pioneers who have seen playing time in 2026 have earned weekly recognition from the league at least once.
The University of Denver men's tennis team returns home to kick off Summit League play when it hosts Illinois State on Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. MT and Oral Roberts on Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. MT.
