DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (14-5, 4-0 Summit) is ranked No. 71 in the in the ITA Computerized Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Denver moved up two spots in the rankings after collecting a 7-0 sweep of North Dakota on April 11 before adding a 4-1 win over Nevada in its home finale on April 12. The team is currently riding a six-match win streak – featuring three 7-0 sweeps – as it heads into the final week of the 2026 regular season.
In total, DU has faced off against six teams that join it in the current national rankings, including a 4-3 win against now-No. 72 Texas Tech. All five of Denver's losses have come to teams now in the national rankings: No. 40 Penn, No. 66 Northwestern, No. 67 Wichita State, No. 69 Boise State and No. 74 BYU.
This is Denver's fifth week in the ITA team rankings in 2026 and its third in as many weeks.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level. Beginning this week, rankings for teams, singles players and doubles teams will all be released weekly until the start of the NCAA tournament in May.
The University of Denver men's tennis team hits the road for its final two regular-season matches for the year, visiting Drake on Friday, April 17, and then Omaha on Sunday, April 19.
