DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team has signed
Frankie Tye for the 2026-27 academic year, head coach
Paul Wardlaw announced on Wednesday.
Francesca "Frankie" Tye is from London, England, who has achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 1124. So far in the 2026 season, she has made the finals of two British tour events.
Over the last three years, Tye has advanced to finals of multiple tournaments including an ITF J60 Loughborough event in 2025 and a J30 Dublin tournament. In doubles, she won the title at last year's J30 Newport (Great Britain) and at the 2024 J30 Megrine (Tunisia). Since 2023, she has represented her home country of England at the Junior 4 Nations three times as well.
Tye will join a Denver program that has won 11 consecutive Summit League titles and will seek its 12
th at next week's Summit League Championship, upon official selection for the field. When Tye arrives on campus, DU will be kicking off its inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference.
She will also be the second member of Denver's incoming freshman class, joining Colorado-native
Caroline Daugherty, who
signed to join the team in November.
