DENVER – Seven University of Denver gymnasts earned 2026 Academic All-Big 12 Conference honors, the conference announced on Thursday.
The Academic All-Big 12 Team consists of student-athletes who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.20, either cumulative or over the previous two academic periods, while also participating in at least 20 percent of the team's competitions. Seniors who have participated for at least two years and meet all criteria except the participation rate are also eligible. Freshmen are not eligible.
Of DU's 14 student-athletes, only eight were eligible for this year's Academic All-Big 12 Team with six of the team's gymnasts being first-year students. All eight eligible gymnasts met the cumulative GPA requirements, and seven fulfilled the minimum participation rate to earn the conference's academic honors.
