Fourteen Denver Gymnasts Earn WCGA Scholastic All-America Recognition

DU matches program record with 14 honorees, ranks No. 11 nationally for highest percentage of roster to receive award
DENVER – For the second year in a row, 14 University of Denver gymnasts earned Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-America honors, the WCGA announced on Wednesday.
Of the 15 student-athletes on Denver's official 2025-26 roster, 14 collected the coveted academic award, matching the DU program record for most individuals in a single season – a record that was originally set in 2025. DU saw 93.33 percent of its roster earn WCGA Scholastic All-America recognition, ranking Denver No. 11 nationally for the greatest percentage.
To be eligible for WCGA Scholastic All-America honors, student-athletes must achieve a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year or cumulative for their collegiate career.

Freshman Shyla Bhatia – Psychology major
Senior Mila Brusch – Finance major
Senior Cecilia Cooley – Political Science major
Junior Ashley Gallen – Finance major
Sophomore Sophia Hampp – Biochemistry major
Junior Amanda Hargraves – Biochemistry major
Sophomore Addie Hewitt – Accounting major
Freshman Sevana Kasparian – Business major
Senior Ava Mabanta – Business Information & Analytics major
Junior Maddison Reidenbach – Marketing major
Senior Kiley Rorich – Psychology major
Freshman Terra Rutter – Biological Science major
Freshman Abby Steeley – Business Management major
Brusch, Cooley and Mabanta all ended their careers by earning WCGA Scholastic All-America status in each of their four years at Denver. Gallen and Rorich picked up their third career honors while Hampp and Hargraves did so for a second time. Hewitt also joined them as a two-time honoree, though this marked her first at Denver. Five of Denver's freshmen collected the WCGA's academic honors in their first seasons.
Denver also ended the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.6587 – based on the WCGA modified calculation – which ranks as the seventh highest for DU dating back to at least 2000. DU has now registered a cumulative team GPA for the WCGA academic honors of at least 3.60 every year since 2019.
DU is coming off its 27th consecutive appearance at NCAA Regionals and finished with a top-25 national ranking for the 28th year in a row. Eleven Denver gymnasts from the 2026 season will return to the roster in 2027 with seven freshman set to join the team as well. Helping lead DU will be NCAA Nationals qualifier Bhatia and seniors Gallen, Hargraves and Reidenbach.
