DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (12-5, 2-0 Summit) is ranked No. 73 in the in the ITA Computerized Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Denver began the month of April with its first two Summit League duals of the year, collecting a 6-1 win against Illinois State before sweeping Oral Roberts, 7-0, on April 3 and 4, respectively.
In total, DU has faced off against six teams that join it in the current national rankings, highlighted by a 4-3 win against now-No. 70 Texas Tech. All five of Denver's losses have come to teams now in the national rankings: No. 39 Penn, No. 61 Wichita State, No. 65 Boise State, No. 66 Northwestern and No. 72 BYU.
This is Denver's fourth week in the ITA team rankings in 2026 and its second in as many weeks.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level. Beginning this week, rankings for teams, singles players and doubles teams will all be released weekly until the start of the NCAA tournament in May.
The University of Denver men's tennis team is set to host its final home matches of the 2026 season at Denver Tennis Park, welcoming North Dakota on Saturday, April 11, at 3 p.m. MT before closing non-conference play against Nevada on Sunday, April 12, at 11 a.m. MT.
