DENVER – University of Denver men's tennis players
Connor Robb-Wilcox and
Theo Coats combined to sweep the Kwik Star Summit League Players of the Week awards for the 12
th week of the season, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.
For the second time in the last month, Robb-Wilcox earned Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors while also teaming up with Coats for the Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Peak Team of the Week nod.
Robb-Wilcox lost only seven combined games in both of his singles wins in Summit League play a week ago, starting with a 6-2 6-1 win against Illinois State that gave Denver a 3-0 lead on its way to an eventually 6-1 win against the Redbirds. The DU graduate student then moved up in the singles lineup to play at No. 4 singles against Oral Roberts and lost just one more game than his result against ISU, coming away with a 6-2 6-2 win in what was the clinching point for Denver toward a 7-0 sweep.
In doubles, Coats/Robb-Wilcox posted matching 6-2 results on the weekend from the No. 1 spot, both the first doubles win of the day and setting Denver up to eventually clinch the opening point in both duals. Together, the DU duo moved to 11-2 in dual match play so far in 2026 – including 6-1 when playing at No. 1 doubles. Since the start of the fall season, Coats/Robb-Wilcox have lost just three times when playing together.
This is the third time that Denver has swept the Summit League men's tennis awards in a singles week – the second time by Robb-Wilcox and Coats, who also did so on March 10. Senior
Raffaello Papajcik and freshman
Aaron Beduhn grabbed the team's first sweep on February 10.
Coats/Robb-Wilcox have now won three Doubles Peak Team of the Week honors in 2016. These are the fourth and fifth weekly Summit League awards of Robb-Wilcox's career and his first as the Peak Performer of the Week. Coats is now a six-time honoree as part of the Doubles Peak Team of the Week in his first two NCAA seasons.
Denver men's players have now accounted for 12 combined weekly Summit League awards this year. All six Pioneers who have seen playing time in 2026 have earned weekly recognition from the league at least once.
