DENVER – The University of Denver community stepped up again this year and set a record for the fourth-consecutive year, raising over $800,000 from over 300 donors in support of Denver Athletics. This breaks the previous record of $525,000. Overall, 1Day4DU raised more than $1,300,000 for the entire University of Denver.
"It is an honor to represent the entire athletic department in saying 'thank you' for the incredible generosity of our loyal supporters, who not only broke another record on 1Day4DU, but shattered it," Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Ritchie Center Operations Josh Berlo said. "This level of philanthropy, just a few short years ago, would have been aspirational of for an institution and alumni population of our size. However, the Pioneer faithful have once again stepped up to directly support our Denver student-athletes' experience as they chase championships, thrive in the classroom and prepare themselves for lives of purpose and excellence after graduation."
Philanthropic support helps transform our student-athletes into leaders, champions and agents of positive change. It will empower our student-athletes to serve the public good while excelling in sports and academics, fostering a legacy of excellence.
All gifts on 1Day4DU count towards The Denver Difference, DU's $1B campaign to achieve our ambitious aspirations for our students, for society and for the world.
