Denver Signs Boston College Transfer Chrystina Bennett for 2027

Bennett spent four seasons in the Boston College program and will use her final year of eligibility in the Mile High City next spring

DENVER – The University of Denver women's lacrosse program has signed Boston College transfer defender Chrystina Bennett to its 2027 roster, head coach Liza Kelly announced on Wednesday.
 
After missing her first two seasons with the program due to injury, Bennett played three games in 2025 before making 11 appearances and seven starts in the most recent 2026 campaign. Bennett forced five turnovers and picked up four ground balls in her fourth year of college lacrosse.
 
Prior to Boston College, Bennett was a four-year letterwinner at McDonogh School in Maryland, while also earning letters in field hockey and swimming.
 
Bennett joins a seven-member freshman class as newcomers for the 2027 campaign.

2026 (Senior – at Boston College):
Played in 11 games and made seven starts…Forced five CTs and picked up four ground balls.
 
2025 (Junior – at Boston College):
Appeared in three games…Forced two caused turnovers and picked up one ground ball.
 
2024 (Sophomore – at Boston College):
Did not play due to injury.
 
2023 (Freshman – at Boston College):
Did not play due to injury.
 
Before Boston College:
Four-year letterwinner at McDonogh School in Maryland ... played her travel ball with M&D Black in '22 ...  Also lettered in field hockey and swimming ... Helped her swim team capture the IAAM A Division title in 2019, 2020 and 2022 ... Two-time swim captain and swim team MVP .... made the Dean's List all four years ...has an older sibling who played football at Bowie State.
 
Personal:   
Chose Denver for the amazing combination of athletic and academic success, and to be a part of the community the program fosters that is so gravitating…Goal is to become a certified mental performance coach after graduation…Also enjoys skiing, hiking, yoga and traveling…Father played basketball at Brown.
