Denver will once again begin its year at the Bedford Cup in the Mountains, hosted by the Air Force Academy. The tournament traditionally features multiple singles draws and a doubles draw with trophies awarded for the winners in each. Last year, then-sophomore Theo Coats won the top-draw singles title and also advanced to the doubles final with then-graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox.
This year's ITA Mountain Regional Championships will be hosted by BYU in the second week of October where automatic berths to the 2026 NCA Division I National Championships in singles and doubles are on the line. The two singles finalists and the winning doubles team will automatically qualify for NCAAs. In 2024, Denver secured both singles spots after Raffaello Papajcik and Daniel Sancho Arbizu met in the final.
DU will host its annual fall tournament, the Colorado Cup, at Denver Tennis Park on October 30 – November 1. Joining Denver will be Air Force, Montana and Gonzaga with the four teams squaring off in hidden-dual format play across the three days.
Denver's final two confirmed fall tournaments will also be hidden duals, first at Grand Canyon on November 6-8 and then at DU's new West Coast Conference foe LMU on November 13-15. Additional teams for both tournaments are not yet available.
Additionally, the Pioneers will await selections for ITA tournament that serve as qualification events for the NCAA National Championships including the ITA Sectional Championships at multiple campus sites and the ITA Conference Masters Championships at Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia, both on November 5-8.
The 2026 NCAA Division I Singles & Doubles Championships are scheduled for November 17-22 and will be held at Dan Macgill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.
Denver's spring dual schedule will be announced in the late fall.
Denver is entering its first year as a member of the West Coast Conference after making the official transition to its new conference home on July 1. In DU's final season as a member of the Summit League in 2025-26, the Pioneers won their third consecutive league title and advanced to the NCAA National Championships for the 11th time in program history.
DU returns five student-athletes from last year's roster including rising juniors Coats and Samuel Rovai, who combined for 50 singles wins including 32 from the top three lineup positions. Rising sophomore Aaron Beduhn is also back for his second NCAA season after winning 25 singles matches of his own as a freshman.
Denver also expects to see sophomores Dylan Davies and Ander Tarrio Ponte make their collegiate debuts after joining the roster in March and sitting out the spring season.
Four newcomers join the DU roster in 2026-27 in freshmen Roman Glarner, Rafe Samuel and Platon Tsarenko, and junior transfer Alex Kotarski (formerly Xavier).
Head coach Eberly enters his seventh year leading the Pioneers and his 14th overall with the program in 2026-27.
