Brings more than 15 years of experience in executive leadership, strategic initiatives and special projects to this first-of-its-kind position in NCAA men’s ice hockey
DENVER – University of Denver hockey announced today that Amanda Kremer has been named the program's Chief of Staff to further strengthen the organizational structure and expand the reach and brand of one of college hockey's premier programs following the Pioneers' 11th national championship and third title in a five-year span this past spring.
In this first-of-its-kind position in NCAA men's ice hockey, Kremer will work directly with Richard and Kitzia Goodman Hockey Head Coach David Carle and the program's leadership team to help align priorities, advance key initiatives and execute the long-term vision of Denver hockey. Kremer's duties will include coordinating high-priority projects, overseeing signature events and strengthening DU hockey's collaboration across the athletic department, University and local business community.
"Championship programs are built by exceptional people in every role," Carle said. "Amanda brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, organizational leadership and relationship building that will make our entire program stronger. She has spent her career helping high-performing organizations align people, execute meaningful initiatives and create exceptional experiences. As our program continues to grow, Amanda's leadership will enhance our ability to raise the standard in everything we do."
Kremer brings a distinctive background spanning professional hockey, executive leadership and the private sector. She spent 10 years with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment from 2008-2018 working in game presentation for the Colorado Avalanche where she led major productions and marquee organizational events, including collaborating with the National Hockey League on the 2016 NHL Stadium Series and Alumni Game at Coors Field.
The Courtland, Minnesota, native joins the Pioneers after spending the past year managing community engagement and event strategy with Revelstoke Capital Partners. Prior to her time at Revelstoke, Kremer was a strategic project manager and senior executive assistant for the office of the CEO at Alterra Mountain Company (2024-2025) and was with KSL Capital Partners from 2020-2024 where she served in a chief of staff capacity and partnered with senior leadership on strategic priorities, organizational initiatives and special projects.
"I'm grateful to join this dynamic team that has such a clear vision and high standard," Kremer said. "This opportunity is incredibly exciting, as I respect the culture that Coach Carle, the staff and the student-athletes have built. I look forward to building meaningful relationships throughout the University and community to contribute to the program's continued pursuit of excellence in all that it does."
Kremer owns a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth as she majored in applied science in athletic training and earned a minor in psychology in May 2008.
The University of Denver owns the most NCAA Championships in men's ice hockey with 11 and has won the national title four times in the last nine NCAA Tournaments, raising the trophy in 2017, 2022, 2024 and 2026. The Pioneers' six national championships since the turn of the century are the most in the country (also winning in 2004 and 2005), and the program's nine trips to the Men's Frozen Four since 2004 are tied for first among all collegiate teams.
