Volleyball Set to Open Home Slate at Denver Invitational

DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball team will open its home schedule this week when the Pioneers host the Denver Invitational from Sept. 3-5 inside the newly renovated Hamilton Gymnasium.

We're excited to welcome everyone into the new Hamilton Gymnasium, said Megan Pendergast. It's going to be a really fun environment for our athletes and our fans, and we're excited to get out there and compete in front of our home crowd.

Denver will welcome SIUE, Idaho and Marist to campus for three matches across the tournament.

The Pioneers enter the tournament with a 2-1 record after opening the 2026 campaign at the Buffs Classic in Boulder last weekend. Denver earned four-set and five-set victories over Central Arkansas and CSUN, respectively, before falling to Colorado in the tournament finale.

Denver opens the tournament against SIUE at 6 p.m. MT on Thursday, followed by a matchup with Idaho at 6 p.m. MT on Friday. The Pioneers will close out the tournament against Marist at 1 p.m. MT on Saturday. All three matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.
