2023 (Sophomore): Raced in all 12 events during the regular season, recording a career-best five top-20 finishes and her first two top-20 results in freestyle … Scored for Denver in six meet races during the campaign … Began the year at the U.S. Cross Country National Championships in Houghton, Michigan, placing 24th in the 10K freestyle on Jan. 2 and 23rd in classic sprints on Jan. 4 during RMISA Nordic Qualifier events … Finished in the top 20 in four straight events at the Montana State Invitational and Colorado Invitational … Set new career bests by placing 17th in the 15K Classic on Jan. 13 before being DU top women’s Nordic scorer in 16th in 5K freestyle at MSU Invite on Jan. 14 … Came in 20th in the 20K classic and 17th in the 5K freestyle at CU’s meet on Feb. 3-4 … Began the Denver Invitational by coming in 22nd in the 5K freestyle on Feb. 10 before posting a personal best in the classical by coming in 16th in the 10K distance on Feb. 11 … Was 30th in freestyle sprints and 27th in the 10K classic at the Alaska Anchorage Invite on Feb. 20-21 … Placed 28th in the 5K freestyle and 26th in the 20K classic at the RMISA Championships in Alaska on Feb. 24-25.
2022 (Freshman): Raced in six-of-10 events during the season … Made her collegiate debut in freestyle sprints at the Utah Invitational/U.S. National Championships on Jan. 2, finishing 25th among college athletes … Came in 20th in the 10K Classic at the Utah Invite on Jan. 6 … Was 29th in 5k freestyle and 25th in 10K classic at the Montana State Invitational in Sun Valley, Idaho, on Jan. 15-16 … Posted a season-best finish in 19th in the 5K classic at the RMISA Championships on Feb. 25 … Closed her collegiate campaign with a 21st-place result in the 15K freestyle at the conference championships … Member of the 2022 National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team.
Before Denver: Qualified for U.S. junior nationals all four years that she was eligible during high school … Placed 14th in the 7.5-kilometer classic and 18th place in the 5K freestyle at 2019 junior nationals in Anchorage, Alaska … Was 11th in the Under-18/20 10K freestyle at 2021 junior nationals at Soldier Hollow, Utah … Was on varsity cross country and track teams all four years of high school, which included going to the state meet in cross country twice … Qualified for the state meet with the track and field team in the 4x800 meter sprint during her sophomore year.

Personal: Daughter of Jay Burgess and Christina Weber … Has an older sister, Claudia … Intends to major in International Business … Career goals include traveling and possibly going into hotel management … Also enjoys running, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities … Has an older sister Claudia, who is on Colorado State's cross country and track and field teams.
