Personal: Has two older sisters … Father was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1988 and played professional hockey in Germany … Grandfather Frank McCool won the 1945 Stanley Cup and the Calder Cup as the NHL Rookie of the Year that season with the Toronto Maple Leafs … Graduated from Springbank High School in Calgary in 2024 … Intends to major in business at DU … Wants to play in the NHL someday … Likes all kinds of music but mostly listens to country … Favorite move is The Hangover, and favorite TV show is Brooklyn Nine-Nine … Hobbies include golf, surfing, hiking and hanging out with friends … Also played lacrosse, basketball, volleyball and golf as a kid … Has helped support Luna Centre (formerly known as the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre) and the Nathan O’Brien Foundation that is named after a young hockey player in the Springbank community that died and donates money to different charities … Was teammates with fellow DU incoming freshman Daxon Rudolph with Prince Albert in 2025-26.
