Finished two of five races during the regular season … Recorded planned DNFs by not participating in the run at the Pleasant Prairie Central National Qualifier in Pleasant Prairie, Wis., on Sept. 4 and the Oktoberfest Sprint in Longmont, Colo., on Sept. 19 … Recorded her first completed race of the year at the Smith Mountain Lake Eastern National Qualifier in Huddleston, Va., on Oct. 16, placing 12th with a total time of 1:04:47 … Did not finish the bike portion at the St. George Western National Qualifier in Hurricane, Utah, on Oct. 30 … Finished 26th at the Collegiate National Championships in Tempe, Ariz., on Nov. 13 (1:0:41) … During the spring season at the Clermont Challenge in Clermont, Fla., came in 12th in the national development race on March 5 (1:05:31) and seventh in the D-I collegiate super sprint race on March 6 (33:55.5).
 
2020 (delayed to spring 2021):
Took third in the division I race at the Claremont Challenge with a time of 1:08:20.1 (11:40/32:43/21:50) … Planned DNF in the 66-woman Elite Development Race in Claremont, Fla. … Timed in the first two segments of the race in 9:45 (swim) and 32:58 (bike).
 
Before Denver:
Swim team MVP for her high school … National team member of the Edina Swim Club, specializing in sprint freestyle and backstroke … First place at Boulder sprint triathlon in summer 2021 … Won the Category 3-4 women’s omnium at Tour of America’s Dairyland
 
Personal:
Born on Jan. 8, 2000 ... Daughter of Chris and Rachel … Has three siblings, Ryan, Gwyneth and Genevieve … Chose DU for the opportunity to explore the outdoor opportunities available in Denver while receiving a great education … Goal is to work in the medical field, currently interested in orthopedic surgery … Hobbies include biking, skiing and camping … Plans to take the MCAT later in the season … Active with the Alpine Club on campus … Favorite movies and TV shows are Schitt’s Creek, New Girl, and Rango … Has a piece of her own rib on a necklace from a past surgery … Also played club ultimate and lacrosse at DU … Ran a marathon in 2019 with minimal training and got third in her age group.
 
Why DU:
“I chose the University of Denver because it was a school that I would love with or without athletics. The mountains nearby offer so many activities to do outside of the classroom.”
 
Why Triathlon:
“I love triathlon because of it is unique challenge to train and improve in three different sports at the same time. I love that it’s both a team and individual sport, for me having a team to do it with makes it all worth it.”
