Personal:
Chose DU because the university’s engineering and pre-med programs, and because of the location of the campus … Working toward a mechanical engineering degree and then plans on going to medical school to become a surgeon … Also enjoys Nordic and alpine skiing, biathlon, mountain biking and hiking … Favorite movie is the Harry Potter series … Played the violin for 10 years … Favorite quote is “Stronger than you know.”
Why DU:
“I chose the University of Denver because of all the opportunities that it provides. Academically I am able to peruse my interests in both engineering and medicine. Also, it is a great place to train with the access to the mountains.”
Why Triathlon:
“I have always loved sports and training. Triathlon brings a unique combination of being mentally and physically challenging, which I love. I do triathlon for more than just my love for the sport and racing. I want to be a role model for others that you can change your life around for the better and come back to your sport stronger than ever before.”
