Jimmy Pratt Headshot

Jimmy Pratt

Pratt completed his first season with Denver in 2020, serving as DU's primary vault and floor coach.

In 2020, Pratt's vault and floor squads demonstrated success despite multiple key injuries on both events. On vault, Denver spent the final seven weeks of the season ranked in the top 10 nationally, and the floor squad was ranked in the top 20 for the entire season. Senior Maddie Karr scored two perfect 10.0s on vault, the first on the event for DU since her freshman season in 2017. Karr would finish the season tied for No. 4 nationally on the event, matching a program record she tied in 2019. On floor, junior and reigning NCAA National Champion Lynnzee Brown topped the national rankings in Week 1 and was ranked in the top 10 until a season-ending injury in Week 7.

Prior to joining Denver's staff, he was the women's head coach at All American Gymnastics in Lindon, Utah, beginning in 2011. In total, he spent 18 years at All American Gymnastics. During his tenure at AAG, his athletes captured a combined 10 All-American honors in the NCAA and six Level 10 JO national titles since 2016. Sixteen of his athletes were competing for Division I programs as of the 2019 season.

In 2009-10, Pratt served as the volunteer assistant coach at Brigham Young University where he primarily assisted with vault and bars coaching.

Pratt holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in fitness and wellness from Brigham Young University (2007).
