LAS VEGAS - Freshman Collin Audley (Fort Collins, Colo.) scored his first career goal at 7:45 and junior goalkeeper Matt Bredehoft made four saves as the University of Denver men's soccer team blanked Oregon State 1-0 at the UNLV adidas Invitational this afternoon in Las Vegas. With the win, DU improves to 1-1-1 while Oregon State falls to 2-1.

"It was a very complete team effort," DU Head Coach Chad Ashton said. "We were composed and played with a lot of confidence. Even though we were outshot, I felt that total chances were equal. The Pac-10 is a well respected conference and its good to get a win against one of its teams."

Audley scored the game-winning goal from 18 yards out on a one-timer off a full volley past Beaver goalkeeper Packy Deenihan. DU was outshot in the game, 10-4, but held off Oregon State with an organized game plan to get the win. Bredehoft stopped four shots to earn his first shutout of the season and 10th of his three-year career.
