No. 75 Arizona Upsets No. 43 Denver 4-3

TUCSON, Ariz. - The No. 43 Denver Pioneers were upset 4-3 by No. 75 Arizona in men's tennis action on Saturday at LaNelle Robson Tennis Complex in Tucson. The Pioneers fall to 7-4 with the loss, while Arizona improves to 5-6.

DU swept all three doubles match to earn the matches' first point. Adam Holmstrom (Eskilstuna) and Niklas Persson (Stockholm, Sweden) improved to 11-1 with a win at No. 1 doubles, while Nejc Smole (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and Ravjot Dhatt (Victoria, British Columbia) and Timo Kiele (Ludwigsburg, Germany) and Kalle Rosen (Helsingborg, Sweden) were victorious at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.

Arizona won four of six singles matches to get the win. Holmstrom and Smole were the lone singles winners for DU. No. 19 Holmstrom rolled to his fourth consecutive win with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles and Smole improved to 7-3 with a three-set win at No. 2.

DU returns to action against Central Florida in Orlando on March 20.
