Santa Barbara, Calif. - The University of Denver men's tennis team edged UC Santa Barbara, 4-3, in men's tennis action today in Santa Barbara. DU won the doubles point and claimed three singles wins to improve to 12-5 overall. UC Santa Barbara falls to 3-16 with the loss.

The doubles tandems of Adam Holmstrom (Eskilstuna, Sweden) and Niklas Persson (Stockholm, Sweden) defeated Bijan Hejazi and Philip Therp 8-3 and Ravjot Dhatt (Victoria, British Columbia) and Nejc Smole (Ljubljana, Slovenia) ousted Anders Dalskov and Grant Robertson, 8-5.

No. 21 Holmstrom defeated Hejazi 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Kalle Rosen (Helsingborg, Sweden) defeated Nigel Barton 6-2, 6-0. Persson clinched the match for DU with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Josh Finkelstein.

DU plays No. 19 Pepperdine tomorrow in Malibu.
