Gwozdecky and Scott Address the Media at Weekly Press Conference

DENVER - University of Denver men's basketball head coach Joe Scott and hockey head coach George Gwozdecky addressed the media in the weekly press conference Tuesday afternoon in the Champions Room in Magness Arena.

Scott discussed the 5-2 start this season and how the team will rebound from Saturday's loss to Colorado State. He also previewed tonight's game against Cal State Northridge.

Gwozdecky commented on the series against Colorado College and how similar the Tigers are to this weekend's foe, Minnesota Duluth. He also updated the status of Patrick Wiercioch (Maple Ridge, British Columbia) and Chris Nutini (Centennial, Colo.) 

The men's basketball team (5-2) hosts Cal State Northridge (4-4) at Magness Arena on tonight at 7 p.m. before traveling to Portland (4-2) on Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.

No. 2 hockey (10-4-2, 8-2-2 WCHA) travels to No. 12/14 Minnesota Duluth (10-5-1, 7-4-1 WCHA) for a weekend series. The puck drops on Friday and Saturday at 6:07 p.m. MT.

The weekly press conferences are every Tuesday at noon MT and run through March 30.

Lunch is offered to attending members of the media. Scott will take the podium from 12-12:15 p.m., and Gwozdecky will follow from 12:15-12:30 p.m.
