Box Score CORVALLIS, Ore. - Freshman forward Kaitlin Bast (Centennial, Colo.) scored her third goal of the season, but Oregon State topped the University of Denver women's soccer 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Bast put the Pioneers (5-3-1) on the board just 1:49 into the game, scoring on a loose ball off a rebound by sophomore midfielder Kari Storslett (Bakersfield, Calif.).
Courtney Wetzel tied the game for the Beavers (7-1-0), drilling a free kick from just outside the box in the 37th minute, which sent the teams to halftime knotted at 1-1.
Chelsea Buckland put Oregon State in front in the 69th minute, heading in a long cross, and Melissa Peck sealed the game for the Beavers in the 80th minute with a header off a long pass from Rachael Axon.
