SEATTLE, Wa. - No. 25 Washington defeated No. 40 Denver, 6-1, in men's tennis action last night at Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The Huskies won the doubles point and five of six singles matches to claim the win and improve to 5-0. Denver falls to 1-3 with its third straight loss.
Sophomore Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) recorded DU's lone point with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Daniel Schmidt at No. 3 singles.
The Pioneers return to action at Oregon on Sunday, Feb. 6.
