LAFAYETTE, La. - The Denver women's basketball team continues SBC-play this week as it finishes off its two-game road trip in Lafayette, La., before returning home to Magness Arena. Denver will face the Ragin Cajuns in a 6 p.m. MT game on Wednesday. The Crimson and Gold will then return home to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m. MT.
The Pioneers will look to build on their five-game winning streak against a team they have not lost to since March 1, 2008. Denver is currently alone in first place in the SBC's West Division with a 7-2 conference record.

THE SERIES
The series between the Pioneers and the Ragin' Cajuns has not been highly contested in recent years, with the Pioneers winning the last six meetings by an average of 18.8 points. The Pioneers control the overall series 17-7, and have not lost on the road to Louisiana-Lafayette since 2008.
KNOW THE FOE: LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
The Ragin' Cajuns (5-16, 0-9 SBC) are in last place in the SBC West Division and in the midst of an 11-game losing streak. ULL's last victory came on Dec. 16, 2011, in a contest against Bethune-Cookman. Louisiana is led by senior guard Krystal Motley who is averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game.
CHARTING THE PIONEERS
Through 23 games, senior Kaetlyn Murdoch leads the Pioneers with 17.4 points per game, shooting 54.4 percent from the field, and is second on the team averaging 6.2 rebounds per contest. Sophomore Maiya Michel has led or tied DU in rebounding in every contest and is averaging a team-best 7.0 per game. Junior Emiko Smith is averaging 6.7 assists per game and is third on the team with 8.8 points per game. As a team, the Pioneers are averaging 61.0 points per game and shooting 41.7 percent from the field.
